It’s Not Your Fault

Isn’t it funny how we, the broken, are the ones who feel the pain, but they, the ones who broke us, feel nothing? We are the ones who suffer with the pain that is inflicted upon us, but they feel nothing. It’s unfortunate that we take it in on ourselves to convince ourselves that somehow along the way, we went wrong, we screwed up, and pushed them to cause us pain. The truth is, you were probably the most good-hearted people ever; honest, genuine and sincere. And they made a conscious decision to cause you pain because they knew you’d give them an excuse and be patient with them. So, stop beating yourself up. It is never -your- fault that someone chose to hurt you.
